Silent coronary heart disease kills without warning. Its victims often experience no pain until the cataclysmic moment occurs, and by that time it may be too late to help.

Last year in Oklahoma County alone, about 2,245 individuals had heart attacks and died without exhibiting any symptoms beforehand. There are researchers who are saying now that more than 1,700 of these deaths could have been prevented.

Nationally, about five million people are thought to be affected by coronary heart disease. As many as 300,000 die suddenly, many of them without ever experiencing pain.
