Northwest Federal Savings and Loan Assocation is changing its
name, address and the name of an Oklahoma City landmark - Citizens
Plaza.
The new name is Equity Bank for Savings FA. It is moving into
a 30,000-square-foot space in Citizens Plaza, to be renamed Equity
Tower.
The Woodward-based thrift entered the Oklahoma City market when
it acquired Arrowhead Federal Savings and Loan Association from the
Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corp. on Dec. 30. Arrowhead was
created by the FSLIC after the federal regulator closed two
insolvent Oklahoma City thrifts, Mutual Federal Savings and Loan
Association and Capitol Federal Savings and Loan Association, in
late August.
