What may be the oldest company in Oklahoma -
Tulsa-based Manhattan Building Companies Inc. - ranks as the 47th
largest general building contractor in the nation, according to an
annual survey in Engineering News-Record.
Manhattan Building Companies, with a branch office at 3235 W.
Memorial Rd. in Oklahoma City, is the contractor for the OU Energy
Center in Norman and the East Tower addition to Baptist Medical
Center in Oklahoma City.
The firm just won a bid to construct a city-county jail planned
for Oklahoma City. Manhattan's winning low bid was $45.71 million,
followed by $46.24 million by Flintco Inc., also based in Tulsa with
