After the Tampa Bay Lightning scored its second goal Sunday night,
Washington Capitals goalie Olaf Kolzig shook his head in frustration,
upset at himself for uncharacteristically allowing a soft goal. After
the Lightning's fifth goal--a routine shot from the blueline--Kolzig
whipped the puck out of the net in disgust.
Kolzig, like the rest of his weary teammates, showed signs of
fatigue in the 5-2 drubbing, which concluded a rigorous stretch of
seven games in 11 nights. Kolzig started six of those seven games and
wants more, eager to be a workhorse for Coach Ron Wilson. Sunday's
mistakes aside, the 30-year-old is recapturing the form that made him
