Teresa says she was gabbing with a friend the other day about a habit they both have. When they approach a stack of newspapers, either at a newsstand or in a box, and they want to buy one, they will never choose the paper that's on top. Instead, they will dig down to the third or fourth and take that one.

"Why don't we trust the top paper?" Teresa asks. "How do you explain this?"
