"I know you will know the answer to this one," writes Teresa
LaHaie. Indeed I do, Teresa. My New Yawk boyhood supplied it.
Teresa says she was gabbing with a friend the other day about a
habit they both have. When they approach a stack of newspapers,
either at a newsstand or in a box, and they want to buy one, they
will never choose the paper that's on top. Instead, they will dig
down to the third or fourth and take that one.
"Why don't we trust the top paper?" Teresa asks. "How do you
explain this?"
Easy, my friend.
Most newspapers (including this one) consist of several sections.
Many over-the- counter purchasers buy a paper because they want one
piece of information only--the time a movie ...
