The Oklahoma City Planning Commission voted Thursday to recommend City Council approval of two zoning applications which would allow restaurants to serve alcohol in Bricktown.

Baja Mama's, 1 E. California Ave., received a recommendation for approval of its request for additional ABC-2, restaurant-with-alcohol overlay zoning, which would cover the proposed expansion of the existing 4,000-square-foot service area to 6,235 square feet.

Joe Johnston, operator of Baja Mama's, said plans call for expansion of the restaurant's outdoor patio area.
