Article: Holding Company Approved for Central, Friendly Banks

By Nancy Raiden Titus Journal Record Staff Reporter Central Banking Group Inc., a multi-bank holding company to own Central Bank and Friendly Bank of Oklahoma City, was approved Wednesday by shareholders of the two banks.

The holding company was formed to strengthen the bond between the banks, which have always been affiliated. They both are chaired by Dan Lacy, son of L.D. Lacy, the founder of both banks.

With the agreement, Central and Friendly became subsidiaries of the holding company. Central Banking Group acquired all the capital stock of the banks, and shareholders of the individual banks became shareholders of the new organization. The new company controls $480
