Aetna U.S. Healthcare of Largo named Patricia A. Farrell regional
manager, national capital region. Farrell will be responsible for
sales, marketing, patient management, underwriting, finance and
network development for the region, which serves more than 1.5
million members in the District, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia,
North Carolina and South Carolina, according to the company.
Farrell joined Aetna in 1989 in Hartford, Conn., where she was
head of Securities and Exchange Commission reporting. She also worked
as chief of staff for Aetna's chief financial officer and as chief of
staff for Aetna's former chairman and chief executive officer, Ronald
