Office managers taking care of routine personnel matters such
as absence reports, accountants working on computer spreadsheets,
employees being transferred to the home office for short-term duty
_ these are a few of the things in practice in Earlene McCauley's
business technology class at John Marshall High School.
The class, which meets for two hours a day, is working on the
Project InVEST (Insurance Vocational Education Student Training)
simulation along with its other curricula.
During a Project InVEST open house last week, McCauley assigned
students to positions at the home office of the fictitious
insurance company. Students selected are to leave their newly
