Article: Sales Up 4% at Shopping Centers

Retail sales at shopping centers in Oklahoma during 1991 were up 4 percent to $7.6 billion from $7.3 billion in 1990, according to an international retail trade association.

The sales at Oklahoma's 546 shopping centers created $342 million in state sales taxes and 100,900 jobs, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers. Sales at the shopping centers also represented 52 percent of nonautomotive retailing in the state.
