The information turnpike in Walters' office is getting plenty of traffic, and staff members have to scramble just to keep up with their computer-crazed boss.

"He's the one that sets the learning curve in this office," said Steve Hill, the governor's press secretary. Whenever Walters gets an idea for a new computer stunt, "he'll get Ken Miller, our computer person, and Ken will fix it so it can do that, and then the rest of the office will have to learn it to keep up with him."
