A companion financial incentive to supplement last year's
Quality Jobs Program passed the Oklahoma Senate Friday and was
sent to the governor.
House Bill 2093, the Saving Quality Jobs Act, would create a
supplemental incentive available to companies with jobs at risk,
where there was a potential for saving those jobs and adding
more. The new incentive also would be available to specified
"strategic" industries, including electronic and aircraft
industries.
Under the Quality Jobs Program, eligible companies receive a
withholding tax rebate based on new jobs created. Minimum new
payroll to qualify is $2.5 million. The Oklahoma Department of
