LOS ANGELES _ Mention the term "virtual corporation" to most
people and you're met with blank stares.
But to Matthew Wright and his computer buddies, virtual
corporations are ready to transform the small-business world.
Unlike traditional companies whose workers gather daily in
offices and factories, virtual corporations are formed via
computers, facsimile machines and online services.
By communicating electronically, individuals from across the
country pool their talents to work on projects that normally
would be confined to a single company. In many cases, employees
of a virtual corporation never even meet in person.
