The Moore Public Schools will purchase the previous Southwest Medical Center in Moore under a 10-year lease-purchase agreement, allowing for the consolidation of five administrative offices, announced Dr. Dan Foreman, school superintendent.

The 76-bed hospital at 4401 S. Western Ave. closed Dec. 31 because of duplication of services within the Southwest Medical Center Health Services Corp.

Foreman called the prospective purchase "an opportunity that comes along once in a lifetime and one that has only positive aspects.
