Article: SBA Delivers 1st Disaster Loan Checks

First loan checks from the U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Division were delivered to Oklahoma City businesses and individuals Wednesday.

Ten low-interest loans totaling $167,000 were closed Wednesday for varying amounts from $1,100 to $63,000 with delivery of the first checks, said Jim Atkins, public information officer for the Fort Worth-based Disaster Assistance Division of the SBA.

Applications for those loans were completed and filed Saturday through the Recovery Service Center in Shepherd Mall.
