TULSA -- Higher prices and production as well as acquisitions of producing properties led to much improved third quarter and nine- month results for Questa Oil & Gas Co. compared with a year earlier.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company reported net income of $149,000, or 15 cents per share. That was 10 times greater than net income of $14,000, or 2 cents per share, for the same period in 1995.

Revenues for the quarter rose 27 percent to $810,000 from $636,000. For the nine months, the company's net income totaled $354,000, or 35 cents a share. That compares with net income of $179,000, or 18 cents per share, for the same period in 1995. Revenues for the nine-month period rose 24 ...
