Article: OG&E, OU strive to make electric car a commercial vehicle

While the idea of an electric vehicle may seem esoteric to some, folks at OG&E Electric Services have used these type cars, vans and trucks for several years.

The company also is working with Dr. John Fagan of the University of Oklahoma to bring the electric car into the realm of commercial reality.

Autocraft Industries Inc., publicly owned corporate parent of Fred Jones Manufacturing and Autocraft Electronics, also is working with Fagan to turn the Ford Ranger pickup into an electric-powered truck.
