OKLAHOMA CITY (JR) -- A total of $245,000 in funding has been
approved for 13 community action agencies to support self-employment
loan activities.
The grants were announced by Gov. Frank Keating and Leo Presley,
executive director of the Department of Commerce.
The awards were distributed through a community services block
grant for the Self-Employment Entrepreneurial Development System,
also known as Seeks, program administered by the department.
The 13 community action agencies, along with the seven existing
participants, will provide Seeds program services statewide.
Four new Seeds participants, or "parents," will receive $50,000
