BARTLESVILLE (JR) -- Phillips Petroleum announced plans Friday to
turn over the historic 19-story Price Tower to a local nonprofit
group if it raises $3.5 million for an endowment.
Phillips said it will deed architect Frank Lloyd Wright's tallest
creation and the Price Tower Annex to the Price Tower Arts Center
after the preservation group secures the money needed to endow an
operating fund.
"The Price Tower fulfilled Frank Lloyd Wright's vision of a `tower
in a country town' and holds a unique space in the Bartlesville
