There's no cure when the air show bug bites. Once aviation gets into your blood and you get hooked on the weeklong adrenalin rush of putting on an air show, there's no substitute.

That's what about a dozen people realized last summer when the major bankroller for Aerospace America withdrew its support. Suddenly, it seemed as if all the doom and gloom talk of the past three or four years of the show's demise was about to come true.
