Joseph Cala of San Jose, Calif., has purchased 52 percent of
Creative Restaurant Concepts, which owns the two Ground Floor Cafes.
Cala has become chairman of the board, a director, president and
treasurer of the Oklahoma City-based company. The remainder of the
company is owned by other shareholders in the publicly traded firm.
Creative, formerly Magnolia Foods, purchased Ground Floor Cafe
Corp., previously owned by Bill Mee as majority shareholder, in July
1998 for $800,000.
Ground Floor has restaurants in Leadership Square and at Nichols
Hills Plaza.
Joe Johnston, who was president of Creative Restaurant Concepts,
will remain as vice president through a transitional period.
