When you ride on a Metro Transit bus, you're riding on a winner.
At least, that's what the Oklahoma Transit Association says. The
trade organization has bestowed the Transit System of the Year award
on Metro Transit.
"I think it's for some of the things that we're trying to do
here," said Randy Hume, Metro Transit administrator who took home the
double-honor of being named Transit Manager of the Year. "I think
those two awards just go hand-in-hand."
Although he's "very excited about the honors, as far as I know
this is the first time that we've received such recognition," he said
both awards go more to the employees than to him and the
administration.
