Like most of you I'm sure, I have spent the past couple of weeks
on my hands and knees searching for bar-coded roaches.
I haven't had any luck so far, just a bunch of common, ordinary,
non-scannable roaches such as you might find under the sink or in the
bowels of the tool shed. But I'm not giving up. I'm confident that
the roach I'm looking for is still out there, and when I find him
he'll be worth $1 million.
That is the jackpot being offered by a nationwide consortium of
pest-control companies to the person who finds the right one of 350
