The Virginia Department of Transportation responded to readers'
complaints about confusing express-lane markings at the Dulles Toll
Road Plaza.
Dear Dr. Gridlock:
I read with interest about the E-ZPass lanes on the Dulles Toll
Road [Dr. Gridlock, Nov. 26], specifically the alignment of the lane
markings. You coordinated with the Virginia Department of
Transportation's Hari K. Sripathi, who said that the problem was
easy to fix, and that the lane markings would be changed.
I made a mental note that this would be a great improvement but
was not optimistic about how long it would take. Last week, I was
pleased to see that the markings had been changed, less than two
weeks after your article ...
