Louisiana Tech put an exclamation mark on its 25th anniversary
celebration this afternoon.
Feeding off speedy point guard Tamicha Jackson, the fourth-ranked
Lady Techsters went on a second-half surge for a 90-76 victory over
No. 2 Connecticut before 6,800 at Thomas Assembly Center.
The victory came less than 24 hours after an estimated 130 former
Louisiana Tech players -- including WNBA star Teresa Weatherspoon and
Dennis Rodman's sister, Debra -- returned to their alma mater to
celebrate 25 years of women's basketball.
Louisiana Tech (14-2) was led today by Jackson, who sank two
three-point field goals and a pair of layups, swiped back-to-back
