The newest member of the Gatzke & Ruppelt law firm - former
Waukesha County district attorney Paul Bucher - is out trolling for
clients in familiar territory.
Campaigns and elections.
But his letter soliciting business from candidates running in the
spring election brought this response from one amused recipient:
"Ambulance chasers, even in the election business," said Michael
Wandrey, who's on a contested primary ballot for Pewaukee's District
3 alderman but who said he's dropped out of the race.
In a Jan. 19 letter received by City of Pewaukee candidates,
Bucher began, "Congratulations on your decision to run for public
office this Spring, 2007!"
It continues:
"Election law violations. ...
