MEATBALLS. YOU'VE GOTTA love 'em. These tasty treats can be served as an appetizer, snack, main course, or atop a mound of pasta. They can be fried, baked, or simmered in sauce.

They range from almost tennis ball size, in the hearty sandwiches found in Italian restaurants, to the 1/4-inch diameter morsels my grandma used hundreds of in place of a meaty sauce for her lasagna.
