FLORIDA'S WEST COAST
THE TEAMS: Nine teams are based along this 130-mile stretch of
mostly Gulf Coast towns and cities. Tampa is the hub; within a 45-
minute drive are the Toronto Blue Jays (Dunedin), Philadelphia
Phillies (Clearwater), New York Yankees (Tampa) and Tampa Bay Devil
Rays (St. Petersburg). About an hour south of Tampa are the
Pittsburgh Pirates (Bradenton) and Cincinnati Reds (Sarasota). One
to two hours southeast of Tampa are the Texas Rangers (Port
Charlotte) and the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox, both in Fort
Myers.
THE BALLPARKS: At the Toronto Blue Jays' Dunedin Stadium,
concession stands sell Canadian bacon. In Clearwater, the Phillies'
