They call it the most importantday inayoungwoman's life. While society has changed immeasurably since this decidedly quaint, if not entirely anachronistic, phrase was coined, the wedding dress that goes hand in hand with any marriage ceremony remains, for the most part, a peculiarly traditional garment. True, over the past few years, the formerly immovable boundaries that decree that, in Western society at least, a bride's attire should be white, erring on the side of demure, if not quite virginal, and generally rather frilly, have shifted somewhat. None the less, even the most emancipated soul tends to opt for convention where this one particular occasion is concerned.
