Article: Apple TV is a good start, but limitations remain

APPLE TV has the beginnings of a great service. But it's still a long way from being the best way to watch movies on your TV or even matching the offerings of rival services.

For Mac fans and Apple iTunes lovers, the $299 set-top box delivers on simplicity and ease of use in allowing you to watch or listen to movies, music, videos, photos and podcasts on your TV. I've used it for a week and marvel at its design, from the tiny but useful six-button remote control to the small size of the sleek Apple TV box itself.

Its biggest limitation, though, is that you can use it only with wide screen or high definition TV, not a standard TV.

It doesn't match the breadth of capabilities in an Xbox 360 ...
