With Britain fighting arguably its most unpopular war ever, you
might expect a career in the Army to be unattractive. But new
figures show that more people than ever are enlisting. And a new
website launched last Friday has been set up to make sure that the
new recruits find work that suits them.
Over the past year, the Territorial Army and the regular Army,
which this month started recruiting together as One Army
Recruitment, attracted nearly 18,500 new recruits. For the Army,
that's an increase of 11 per cent on the previous year. It is easy
