Article: Jumbled Foxx Versatility doesn't suit Jamie Foxx in HP Pavilion concert

THERE WERE many problems with Jamie Foxx's performance last weekend at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. The biggest, however, is that the two personas he presented -- the potty-mouthed comedian and the serious slow-jam R&B crooner -- don't mix well.

As a rebuttal, the 39-year-old star would surely counter with his impressive resume, which includes a long track record of comedic success, notably as a cast member on TV's "In Living Color," and his chart-topping soul CD, 2005's "Unpredictable."
