An interesting place, this Elevenmile Canyon. And one full of
surprises.
It's been called Everyman's Canyon, with its readily-accessible
attractions appealing to a wide range of recreationalists, including
sightseers, photographers, rock climbers, picnickers and campers. Oh,
and fishermen.
Make that especially fishermen. The South Platte River coursing
through its bouldered granite-canyon walls is as attractive as any
along the Front Range. Its riffles, flats, dark holes, plunge pools
and chutes attract an army of fishermen and represent all fishing
tastes.
Most agree the fishing is, or at least can be, very good. And a
