Article: Fishing is alive and well at Elevenmile Canyon

An interesting place, this Elevenmile Canyon. And one full of surprises.

It's been called Everyman's Canyon, with its readily-accessible attractions appealing to a wide range of recreationalists, including sightseers, photographers, rock climbers, picnickers and campers. Oh, and fishermen.

Make that especially fishermen. The South Platte River coursing through its bouldered granite-canyon walls is as attractive as any along the Front Range. Its riffles, flats, dark holes, plunge pools and chutes attract an army of fishermen and represent all fishing tastes.
