Article: Simla KO's Kiowa/Football players become boisterous backers in victory

The Simla High School football team got quite a workout during the volleyball team's 15-3, 15-6 victory over Kiowa on Friday night.

Yes, the football team.

After Simla took a 6-0 lead over the visitors in the first game, the football players - lining the entire front row of the home bleachers dressed in their blue jerseys - started doing pushups for each point their team scored.

During the majority of the match, the gymnasium sounded more like a boot camp with players counting out pushups, than a high school volleyball match.

According to Simla volleyball coach Susan Snyder, it has become a tradition for football players to support the volleyball in such a physical manner.
