THE GAME: A stellar defensive performance kept Woodland Park from
fumbling the game away in the first half as the Panthers won their
homecoming contest. Despite turning the ball over three times in
their own territory, Woodland Park (5-0) led 23-7 at halftime. Sand
Creek (2-3) could only capitalize on one of those turnovers when Kyle
Schleder scored on a 1-yard run. Panther running back Paul Krupp
burned the Scorpion defense for 248 yards on 21 carries. Krupp was
involved on three touchdowns, running for two and throwing a 30-yard
strike to David Graf in the second quarter.
NO PASSING ALLOWED: Woodland Park's defense limited Sand Creek to
