The politics of fishing will take center stage today, when the
Colorado Wildlife Commission meets to set fishing regulations for the
next five years in the morning and adopt a whirling-disease stocking
policy in the afternoon. (The opening act will begin at 10 in the
Hunter Education Building of Colorado Division of Wildlife
headquarters, 6060 Broadway in Denver; Act II is to begin at 3, but
don't be surprised if it's delayed because Act I has been running
long.)
The process began 18 months ago, with assorted angler
roundtables, issue-identification sessions, stake-holders' meetings
