Mitchell (7-14) vs. Pueblo South (20-1)

Strong suit: Pueblo South is a perennial baseball powerhouse. Its only defeat this season came April24, an 11-6 loss to South-Central League foe Pueblo County.

Shaky start: Mitchell dropped its first five games of the season, but an upset of Sterling in districts have the Marauders feeling good about themselves.

Cinderella: Mitchell earned a spot at regionals thanks to an errorless performance against Sterling and the heroics of sophomore Brian Lafrenierre, who pitched a solid game and hit a three-run homer. Chris Wedor has also pitched well for Mitchell.
