For the first time in recent memory, and possibly the first time
in the history of Colorado Springs, the city has two competing art-
film theaters: Kimball's Twin Peak and - get ready for this one -
Super Saver Cinemas.
The discount second-run theater at Citadel Crossing shopping
center has begun dedicating at least one of its screens each week to
first-run art films - at discount prices.
The theater kicked off the new art screen Friday with the
Merchant-Ivory film "The Golden Bowl."
Among the Super Saver's coming attractions: "The Widow of Saint-
Pierre," "Songcatcher" and "Chopper." Admission for kids and adults
is $3, the same price people pay for other movies there.
