Swiss fondue, tabbouleh salad can make for a global menu

Lori Stikl, Oak Creek, requested the recipe for cheese fondue from
Cafe Vecchio Mondo, 1137 N. Old World Third St. She wrote: "I love
their cheese fondue. Every time I visit this restaurant I have to
order it. I'm having card club with my friends and would love to
serve this recipe."
Michael Kraus, general manager, sent the recipe.
Cafe Vecchio Mondo
Swiss Fondue
1 clove garlic, split
1 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon cornstarch
6 ounces Gruyere cheese, cut into cubes
4 ounces Emmenthaler cheese, cut into cubes
1 to 2 teaspoons kirschwasser (cherry brandy) or to taste
Pinch of cayenne pepper
