Playoff hopes take wrong turn

Rosemont, Ill. -- Losses to the arch-rival Chicago Wolves are usually painful for the Milwaukee Admirals.

The one Saturday night, however, had some extra sting to it.

With an opportunity to pick up some ground as the American Hockey League playoff chase nears the finish line, the Admirals slipped on the ice.

Bryan Adams scored two goals as the Wolves damaged Milwaukee's faint playoff hopes with a 4-3 victory over the Admirals before a raucous crowd of 13,432 at the Allstate Arena.

The loss hurt Milwaukee's chances to nail down the final playoff spot in the AHL's Western Conference. The Admirals (26-32-9-3) ...
