Mary Knoblock, Milwaukee, requested the recipe for cheesy onion
soup from Sister Bay Cafe, 611 N. Bay Shore Drive, Sister Bay.
Sue Daubner, owner, sent the recipe.
Sister Bay Cafe Cheesy Onion Soup
1/2 large onion, diced 2 1/2 tablespoons butter Salt and pepper to
taste 1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup flour 1/2 gallon chicken stock 2 1/2 cups
warm milk 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, grated 2 to 3 ounces pepper jack
cheese, grated Salad croutons, grated Parmesan cheese (for optional
garnish)
In large kettle, saute onion in butter over low heat until tender.
