UW football players plead not guilty

Lawyers representing two University of Wisconsin football players
charged with disorderly conduct after an altercation in a Madison bar
last month entered pleas of not guilty Thursday.
Jeff Lang, a freshman defensive lineman from Greenfield, and Brett
Bell, a freshman defensive back from Wheaton, Ill., have been ordered
to appear at a preliminary hearing June 18.
Lang also faces a charge of substantial battery, a Class E felony
with a penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to ...
