Atlanta -- Tom Glavine wants to and really needs to throw a baseball every day. He likes the feeling of his fingers gripping the seams of the ball, the comfortable way the ball leaves the fingertips of his left hand and how the ball's path tells him everything he needs to know about the efficiency of that pitch.
