Lee makes big strides in off-season

Forgotten receiver is bigger, stronger, faster

Green Bay -- Technically speaking, Charles Lee was a member of the 2001 Green Bay Packers. He had a locker, a uniform, 52 teammates who embraced him like a brother and made a comfortable living doing what he loved to do.

But it wasn't enough.

As the fifth wide receiver in a six-man rotation, Lee found himself fighting an uphill battle for playing time nearly all season. In practice he'd play on the scout team, becoming almost as familiar with the opposition's pass routes as his own team's.
