More Assembly aides have legal bills paid by state

Madison -- Three more state Assembly staff members have had their legal bills paid by taxpayers as part of the one-year investigation into alleged campaigning on state time and Capitol misconduct by legislators and aides, an official said Wednesday.

Deputy Assembly Chief Clerk Pat Fuller identified the three as:

Mike White, who worked for the Assembly from 1992 until December 2001, when he resigned as deputy director of the Assembly Democratic Caucus. Taxpayers paid his $2,910 legal bill.
