Texter leads U.S. Junior Amateur

Jarred Texter, 16, of Millersville, Pa., fired a one-under-par 69 to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the U.S. Junior Amateur Tuesday in Duluth, Ga.

There were 75 players still on the 7,008-yard Highlands Course at Atlanta Athletic Club when the tournament was suspended late Tuesday afternoon because of lightning and heavy rain.
