You're listening to the radio and for some reason none of the stations will tune in clearly. That's how it is with commercial pasta sauce; not one of them is as good -- as perfect -- as you'd like it to be.

Shelf Help simmered up nearly 30 marinara sauces, and many of them needed fine-tuning. Too much sugar here. A jolt of bitter garlic there.
