Ministry Health Care plans medical center near Wausau

Ministry Health Care said Tuesday it plans to build a medical complex in Weston to meet the needs of a growing population, but critics worry the $100 million facility could add to rising health care costs.

The medical center -- which would include a 104-bed hospital, a 40- physician office building and at least six operating room suites for open-heart surgery, trauma and orthopedic care -- is needed in the southern portion of Marathon County, said Nicholas F. Desien, president and chief executive officer of Ministry.
