Sheriff won't pay for aircraft after 2003

While Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. no longer wants the expense of running the department helicopter, local suburban police chiefs hope to keep it in the air.

The Milwaukee County Law Enforcement Association recently formed a task force to study alternatives for funding and ways to save the helicopter after the county stops its funding in 2003.
