Major-label act staying connected to road, fans

You just get a feeling about some bands.
When Milwaukee's hard-rock quartet The Buzzhorn sat down to be
interviewed in late 1999, band members checked their egos at the
door. Quiet guitarist Bert Zweber and laid-back singer Ryan Mueller
let their more extroverted, business-minded band mates, drummer Rob
Bueno and bassist Todd Piotrowski, do most of the talking.
While many young, unsigned acts like to boast about their spot on
the local food chain, or brag about getting a nibble of feedback from
a friend of a friend in Los Angeles ...
